SCHEDULE A CONVERSATION

We met in a rainy afternoon in Paris, in a Japanese teashop that had the kind of atmosphere that met his personality. Humble, discreet and quiet, he is pretty far away from. what you’d expect a starchitect to be. In the best way.
We met several times, but when I felt I got what I wanted from him was an evening at his place. Playing the coolest music and cooking a (delicious) pasta, the moment of intimacy allowed us to give some depth to the conversation. A man of substance.
I knew Alex from his interviews so when I got the opportunity to take his role I jumped on it. The fact that it was at the great Almine Rech gallery was just a big plus.
The elegant Librairie Galignani was the perfect setting for this great encounter that was Ahmet. An incredibly inspiring human being that has two of the qualities I most admire. The ability to enjoy life and a great sense of humour.
